mom's house - wilmington
Launched in 1983 in Johnstown, PA, Mom's House started in Wilmington in 1997.  In return for free childcare, each parent must agree to:
• attend parenting classes
• stay in school and maintain satisfactory grades
• provide three house of service (usually cleaning) each week to the center

SVP DE has granted $15,000 since its initial investment in 2009.
Mom's House has strong management and a committed board.  Its goal of ensuring parents become educated and employable is attractive and unique.  SVP DE plans to:
• Provide guidance in marketing Mom's House services to increase its enrollment.  Mom's House is small with currently 12 children in the center and 11 parents in the program, but has the capacity for twice the number of children.
• Pursue collaboration for Mom's House with other centers SVP DE supports.
• Help develop a strategic plan.
• Lisa Poyta is the Lead Partner for Mom's House
