Kingswood, a new investment for SVP DE, has served the Northeast Wilmington community since 1946. Despite the many challenges posed by its neighborhood and the clientele it serves, SVP DE hopes to support Kingswood's many strengths, particularly its committed managmentment team and their dedication to their community.
• childcare for 63 children (18 months to K) • youth activities for children ages 5 to 21 • Kingswood Academy, alternative high school • Project Stay Free, an intensive supervision and education program for youth at risk • community and family services, providing help for families in trouble • the Jimmy Jenkins Senior Center SVP DE relationship with Kingswood Community Center began in 2009. To date $40,000 has been invested in Child Care Services to support efforts in: • improve the quality of educational services offered • increase the number of children who participate in the program • explore the possibilities of collaboration with other agencies • offer services to Kingswood that SVP DE's other early learning centers have enjoyed • Ed Murphy is Lead Partner for Kingswood http://www.kgwcc.org/ |
