The Latin American Community Center (LACC) has offered a full range of services to the Latino community of Wilmington since 1969. Its preschool, La Fiesta, offers a high-quality educational environment for children ages one through five.
LACC became an SVP DE investee in 2007. A four-year investment of $117,500 has supported:
•training and staff development to increase credentials of early childhood teachers
•participation in the Delaware Stars Program
•expansion plans through SVP DE partner expertise
•public-private partnership with Christina School District & LACC to bring innovative preschool to Pulaski School
•curriculum consultant
SVP DE partners are also active volunteers, providing:
•board leadership
•facility expansion planning
•marketing
•classroom instruction
•enrichment programs and field trips
LACC participates in a number of SVP DE quality initiatives:

•A.I. duPont resident intern
